So who is Forest Guild? They are a local organization focused on ecologically sustainable forestry. They have been focusing on employing youth in outdoor jobs restoring forests and in helping rescue our local forests from the decades of fire suppression and overgrazing by cattle and sheep. They have many public education programs and classes to train professionals in prescribed fire techniques and other matters of ecological restoration.
